Raúl Asencio out 2-4 months: fatigue fracture surgery

Real Madrid will operate the defender for a right shin tibia fatigue fracture; he’s expected to miss two to four months.

Raúl Asencio, from Real Madrid, suffered a fatigue fracture in the right leg’s tibia and will undergo surgery this Thursday to treat a problem he has been carrying since last season, according to L'Équipe. The centre-back is expected to be out for two to four months.

That leaves the defending options thinner for the club during a phase where fixtures start to come thick and fast.
