Raúl García de Haro (Osasuna) returns for Betis derby
The Osasuna striker faces the Real Betis this Sunday after scoring 27 goals this season and recalling his rise from the Betis system.
Raúl García de Haro of Osasuna is set to face the Real Betis this Sunday, and the forward says the matchup is always special for him: he credits Betis for giving him the chance to grow and make his Premier Division debut.
In comments to ABC, he adds that many of his relatives are Betis fans and insists every meeting is different. He also points to his path through the ranks, where he stood out as a scorer for Betis Deportivo before moving to Osasuna after a loan at CD Mirandés.
Asked about leaving Betis, he says it was a choice driven by the likelihood of not getting enough minutes with four forwards in the squad. “There’s nothing to regret,” he says, noting he is now happy at Osasuna, where he has 27 goals this season.
