Rayan Cherki powers Man City and Mattéo Guendouzi sinks Fenerbahçe in UCL

Manchester City cruised past AEK Athens on matchday three of the Champions League, with Rayan Cherki starring: he was in top form and scored, as L'Équipe reports.

Elsewhere on a French-led night in Europe, Mattéo Guendouzi had the opposite kind of performance. Playing for Fenerbahçe, his showing is described as disastrous.

So the same storyline splits in two: City take control thanks to Cherki and rack up a comfortable win, while Fenerbahçe suffer after Guendouzi’s poor outing.
