Rayo fan group demands respect and an abono refund for three matches

More than 1,000 fans gathered in Vallecas and an announced lawsuit seeks refunds for three games played outside the stadium.

More than 1,000 supporters of Rayo Vallecano attended a press event in Vallecas called by the Rayo Vallecano Fan Association. The meeting was peaceful and included lawyer Javier Flores, who shared the rayismo’s message and laid out what they want to achieve.

The group said the aim is to keep following the same path they have taken for the last 30 years to “free the club from the hands that are holding it hostage.” They also demanded “respect and dignity for rayismo and for Vallecas,” and called for the proportional refund of season-ticket money for the three matches that were not played at the Estadio.

Lawsuit and protest

Flores said that “a week ago the first call to Sardá” was made with an open hand and that there was no news until today. He then confirmed that “the first lawsuit has already been filed,” seeking the proportional abono amount for those three fixtures. He also commented on what happened on the day of the Trofeo de Vallecas: “The people are sovereign and have the right to protest.”

Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano will play its first LaLiga match in Vallecas against Athletic Club.
