Real Madrid edge Villarreal 1-0 thanks to Diomande

Bernabéu returns with a win: Diomande’s late burst in the second half and a Vinícius goal later ruled out.

Real Madrid beat Villarreal 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu in a match described as heavy-footed, with the difference coming from Diomande in the second half. Shortly after, Vinícius—introduced as a substitute to support the marfileño—scored again, but the goal was disallowed after an incident involving the Brazilian and Saliba.

The night took another turn when Vinícius was sent off. As MARCA’s breakdown notes, the Madrid struggled to fully take control early, until that decisive spark arrived.
