Real Madrid: Mourinho runs third closed-door session before Oct 6

José Mourinho led the Real Madrid’s third training session of the week, again behind closed doors, with players called at 10:30 at Valdebebas. The internationals are still with their national teams until the FIFA window ends on October 6.

Mourinho’s available group included Álvaro Carreras, Antonio Rüdiger and Aurélien Tchouaméni, with Éder Militão working fully in team routines, plus Thibaut Courtois and Andrey Lunin in goal. As the club explained, the session started with activation drills and rondos, then moved into possession work, a reduced-size match, and sprint series on the pitch.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Dean Huijsen, Marc Cucurella, Carlos Espí, Thiago Pitarch, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Denzel Dumfries, Yan Diomandé, Vinícius Jr, Endrick, Arda Güler, Bernardo Silva and Brahim Díaz are with their respective squads.

The week also includes injury absences. Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy remain in their recovery processes, while Fede Valverde suffered a grade 3 sprain in his left ankle against Atlético de Madrid and missed the trip with Uruguay. During the international break, Ibrahima Konaté was also ruled out with damage to the right leg collateral ligament, and Kylian Mbappé with a left knee posterior capsule hyperextension.

Real Madrid return to LaLiga on Saturday, October 10, when they host Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu for matchday 8. The team sits fourth, 6 points behind Barcelona, the league leader.
