Real Madrid re-elected to LaLiga’s Delegated Commission until 2028
The club will remain two more years on the Delegated Commission until 2028, backed by Real Sociedad and Athletic amid the fight with Tebas.
Real Madrid will stay on LaLiga’s Delegated Commission for two more years, until 2028, keeping its place in the league’s patronal body.
The club had returned to this forum in 2024 after four years away, helped by Real Sociedad and Valladolid. This time, support again comes from the Basque teams: Real Sociedad and Athletic Club.
The re-election sits within the wider conflict between Florentino Pérez and LaLiga president Javier Tebas. In recent weeks, that clash has resurfaced after the Madrid derby at the Estadio Metropolitano and following the Negreira-related complaint, which UEFA confirmed it had received a week ago.
The Delegated Commission’s duties include calling the General Assembly, proposing and re-electing external auditors, negotiating agreements with the RFEF, AFE and public institutions, and also preparing LaLiga’s budget and accounts, among others. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Madrid typically expresses opposition to LaLiga proposals at this level through director general José Ángel Sánchez.
