Real Madrid sets a new Champions League record: 45 home games scoring
The 4-1 win over Leipzig confirms Europe’s best run: 45 straight matches scoring at home.
Real Madrid added another Champions League milestone after beating RB Leipzig 4-1, extending its run to 45 consecutive matches scoring at home in European competitions.
The streak began on March 5, 2019 versus Ajax. Since then, the defending side has completed seven Champions League seasons with a goal from the same home venue, and this current campaign continues the trend with goals in both home matches.
The record also surpasses a previous Real Madrid benchmark of 44 matches, set between 2011 and 2018. Overall, the team has scored in 89 of its last 90 European home games, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
