Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig: Mourinho’s likely XI with Mbappé

Real Madrid take on RB Leipzig this evening at the Bernabéu in the Champions League (21:00 on Movistar Liga de Campeones). Mourinho’s likely plan is to collect nine wins from nine and move into the top spots, with Mbappé leading the line.

In goal, Courtois starts, while Cucurella and Dumfries are set for the full-back roles. The centre-back pair is Konaté alongside Rüdiger, who is benched compared to the previous match against Sevilla.

Midfield duties go to a structure with Tchouaméni and Güler as the double pivot, plus Bellingham and Valverde supporting the build-up. Up top, Vinícius and Mbappé form the attack. Mourinho also addressed his stance on the team’s hierarchy: “¿Vinicius intocable? Intocable es el escudo” (as reported by Mundo Deportivo).
