Real Madrid vs Sevilla: predicted XI with Güler and Vinícius suspension

Real Madrid host Sevilla tonight aiming for three points after the scare against Roma last Wednesday. As Mundo Deportivo reports, José Mourinho wants an improvement in build-up play and doesn’t plan many changes from the Champions League match.

One key change

The standout adjustment is Arda Güler starting on the right side, made possible by Vinícius’s suspension, which begins to be served today. Güler joins Jude Bellingham to run the midfield plan that keeps Tchouaméni and Valverde in the double pivot, with Diomande and Mbappé finishing the attacking line.

To reduce the chances of conceding again—something that has happened in recent games—Mourinho repeats the back four used vs Roma: Cucurella and Dumfries at full-back, Konaté and Rüdiger in the center, and Courtois in goal. Predicted XI: Courtois; Dumfries, Konaté, Rüdiger, Cucurella; Tchouaméni, Valverde, Bellingham, Güler, Diomande and Mbappé.
