Real Oviedo hit hard: 7 of 8 goals conceded vs Sabadell & Eldense
Real Oviedo concede eight in their first eight games: seven come from defeats to Sabadell (3-1) and Eldense (4-1).
Real Oviedo, coached by Julián Calero, have conceded eight goals in their first eight matchdays and the defensive blow is concentrated in their meetings with Sabadell (3-1) and Eldense (4-1): seven of those eight goals arrived in just those two games, 87.5% of the total.
Outside those routs, the team tightened up: in the other six games they allowed only one goal and kept a clean sheet five times. The most damaging single concession came against Leganés.
Two games, big contrast
As MARCA notes, Sabadell and Eldense produced 33 shots combined, 16 on target, nine big chances and 4.74 expected goals. In Elda specifically, the home side reached 3.05 xG, fired 17 shots and generated six clear-cut opportunities to overturn Reina’s opening strike.
The back line changed
The starting XI didn’t match either: versus Sabadell, Aisar, Dani Calvo, Carlos Domínguez and Juan Cruz started, while against Eldense it was Narváez, David Jiménez, Dani Calvo, Carlos Domínguez and Samu Rodríguez; only the Calvo-Domínguez duo was repeated.
