Real Sociedad beat Valencia 0-1: Eizagirre ends the winless run
Real Sociedad finally got their first Liga F points after a 0-1 win at Antonio Puchades, with Nerea Eizagirre scoring in the 23rd minute.
Real Sociedad got their first Liga F win of the season by beating Valencia 0-1, with Nerea Eizagirre striking in the 23rd minute at Antonio Puchades to push the visitors further toward the bottom. For coach Gorka Álvarez, it was a match that turned into a second-half test, but they managed to close it out.
Eizagirre drove the early attack, missing chances in the 1st and 6th minutes before converting the third one. The captain received on the edge of the box after a move involving Paula, Ainhoa Moraza and Intza, then finished with an unstoppable left-footed shot beyond Pinguet.
Valencia’s second-half push
After the break, Valencia came out stronger and started winning ground. Carol Marín tried from distance, and later Morató tested Arrula after Sara Tamarit’s cross. Real looked to play in behind, but their threat stayed limited, with only long-range efforts—like Paula’s—creating small scares.
In the closing stages, Marcano had the clearest chance at 75 minutes but could not beat Arrula, sending it wide across. With substitutions running and the game opening up, Real controlled the tempo and kept their goal safe until the end, with only a tame strike from Sara Tamarit in the 88th minute. As Mundo Deportivo reported, the match drew 500 spectators and included yellow cards for both sides.
