Real Sociedad bring seven Sanse prospects into training for Athletic

Real Sociedad added fresh faces to training ahead of Friday’s friendly at Anoeta versus Athletic, the final of the Euskal Herria Txapela. A total of eight Sanse youngsters joined with Matarazzo to make a 22-man group.

The standout is Unax Ayo, a central defender who gets his first run with the first team after an injury limited him to just 18 minutes played this season. The other regulars were Fraga, Carrera, Aguirre, Dani Díaz, Lebarbier and Kita.

Iñaki Rupérez was also there; he cannot rise during official competition, but he is available for this friendly. The squad also included Remiro, Marrero, Aihen, Gorrotxategi, Barrenetxea and Turrientes, after morning physical tests and an afternoon session.

Odriozola and especially Igor Zubeldia were absent. Zubeldia remains sidelined, making his participation versus Athletic doubtful, with the club likely aiming for his readiness for the game on the 11th.
