Real Sociedad trains at Den Dreef ahead of Europa League test
Matarazzo worked with 24 players in Belgium on Thursday’s Europa League match vs Union Saint-Gilloise, with Óskarsson and Álex Marchal back.
Real Sociedad stepped onto Den Dreef in Lovaina as they completed their final session in Belgium ahead of this Thursday’s Europa League match against Union Saint-Gilloise. The workout wrapped up at 19:30 and served as their first taste of the pitch.
The sharper tactical work was done earlier at Zubieta. On the Belgian grass, Pellegrino Matarazzo led a light session focused on adapting to the surface, stretching, and final preparation for the squad of 24.
Among the most notable updates are the returns of Orri Óskarsson and Álex Marchal. Óskarsson is available again after serving a ban in the league game versus Deportivo de La Coruña. Marchal joins back after missing that weekend’s match.
Meanwhile, Jon Mikel Aramburu continues recovery from an important defensive issue, and Beitia remains in Donostia, both listed among the absences. Sergio Gómez said, “Winning three points would give us peace of mind.”
