Real Zaragoza return to top spot with 4-1 win over Teruel

Real Zaragoza are back at the top of Primera RFEF after beating Club Deportivo Teruel 4-1 in a standout night where they collected their fifth straight win. The club hadn’t been in first position for 1121 days, dating back to 10 September 2023 in Cartagena (Segunda A).

At the Ibercaja Estadio, the scoring swung quickly. Sergio Moreno put Teruel ahead from the penalty spot, but Óscar Ureña restored parity and Pau Sans and Jaume Jardí rounded off the rout as the hosts sealed the win.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Ibai Gómez said after the match: “Ganar cuesta mucho”, pointing to the team finding the route to keep pushing until the league’s top spot was secured.
