Real Zaragoza: Westerveld and Vadillo miss out due to injury worries
Zaragoza host Teruel with Anartz Peña set to start in goal and Tobajas in attack; Ander Herrera returns after a back issue.
Real Zaragoza face Teruel at the Ibercaja Estadio with Sem Westerveld out due to hamstring problems and Íker Vadillo missing with muscle discomfort. Coach Ibai Gómez has reshuffled his options after resolving doubts late in the week.
Forced changes in goal and attack
- Westerveld drops out and Anartz Peña takes over as the starter, making his official debut with the Zaragoza badge.
- Marcos Marian Manolache, 18-year-old keeper from Deportivo Aragón, is named on the bench.
- Vadillo is also left out because of muscle issues, so Tobajas moves in as the alternative.
Ander returns, but not to the starting XI
Ander Herrera is back in the squad after being omitted from the last two call-ups due to back pain, though he looks set to begin from the bench. Midfield is expected to be handled by Terrer and Ademo. Diego Monzón is out as well, with international duty for Ecuador Under-20. As reported by Sport, the aim is to keep the home stronghold and for Peña to be ready to guard the goal.
