Robbie Ure debuts for Sevilla: 16 goals and heats up the Golden Boot

In his eighth LaLiga match, the Scot scored vs Levante to reach 24.5 points, moving ahead of Raphinha in the race.

Robbie Ure, Sevilla’s striker, made his LaLiga debut in his eighth appearance with a goal against Levante. After a defensive blunder—Levante’s back line lost a ball badly— the Scot finished without hesitation to put his side in front. It’s his 16th goal of the season, tightening the race for the Golden Boot.

So far, his numbers come from a mix of Sweden and his current stint: 15 of those goals were with IK Sirius Fotboll before joining Sevilla. When the competition weighting is applied, the forward reaches 24.5 goal points, passing Raphinha, who has 12 league goals this campaign (24 points).

First two-point goal

His strike at the Ciutat de València is also his first in LaLiga that scores for the Golden Boot at two points, because his earlier Swedish league goals use the 1.5 coefficient, given the Nordic league sits between positions 6 and 22 in the UEFA ranking.

Oloko leads for now

Even so, Ede Oloko of FK Liepāja remains out front with 27 goals in the Latvian league. With Ure already producing, Sevilla now has yet another reason to look up early in the campaign, as MARCA reports.
