Rodri scores his first goal for Barcelona: 1-2 at La Cartuja vs Betis

Rodri Hernández (Barcelona) opened his account for the club with a goal at La Cartuja, in his tenth match as a Barça player. Lamine Yamal had put the hosts ahead, but the Real Betis levelled through Valentín Gómez.

Rodri’s strike came from a corner: Fermín delivered into the area and the international midfielder won the aerial duel to head it across the second post and make it 1-2.

From there, the win gathered momentum with more firsts. Eric García and Dani Olmo also scored for the first time this season. García made it 2-4 after a rebound off the wall from a Lamine effort, as Cubarsí rolled the ball back for the centre-back to finish. The fifth was added by Olmo: he had four assists this year but no goals, and this time he drove to the edge of the box and placed it into the left side of Valles’ goal, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
