Rubén Albés backs Morata after Leganés’ 4-0 loss at Cádiz

Leganés coach Rubén Albés reacted after the 4-0 defeat at Cádiz, saying the team’s mindset should be “rebellion”. In a press conference, he argued that what happened “is not us” and that Leganés must show a different version from the match that just finished.

Albés said he has trust “in every line” and expects an immediate response ahead of Almería. He noted that the previous week—after Castellón—hit them particularly hard, but insisted they are “confident” about putting in a strong performance.

Despite conceding four goals, the coach dismissed structural changes. He defended his system with three centre-backs and two full-backs, saying it’s not about the setup but “general and mental” behaviour. He also stood up for Álvaro Morata, criticizing doubts about his output: “I think the birds are shooting the shotguns.”
