Rubén Albés leaves Leganés after four straight defeats
Leganés sacked Rubén Albés and Luis Carrión will lead Monday’s training, with Mallorca the first big test.
Leganés have dismissed Rubén Albés after their Friday loss to Córdoba, meaning the coach will not take charge of Monday’s training session. The decision comes with the team sitting in a run of four consecutive defeats and just one win in the last seven games: they failed to score and conceded 10 goals in that span.
As reported by MARCA, Luis Carrión will take over the reins of a Leganés side that started the summer with a heavily revamped squad but couldn’t keep the project on track after 10 matchdays. Carrión has extensive experience in Segunda and previously guided Real Oviedo to the 2024 promotion-playoffs final.
His first major test will arrive against Mallorca on Saturday at Butarque.
