Rubén Albés’ Leganés hit rock bottom: four straight losses
After a 0-1 loss to Córdoba, Leganés stack four defeats in a row: 0 points from 12, 10 conceded and no goals scored.
Leganés, coached by Rubén Albés, has entered a troubling slump after four consecutive defeats: zero points from 12, 10 goals conceded and none scored. The final alarm in Butarque came with the 0-1 loss to Córdoba, turning concern into outright nerves.
The bigger issue than results is the feel of the team: the back line setup with three centre-backs and two full-backs still isn’t delivering the security it promises, while the attack is failing to create enough and the side looks increasingly predictable. Tension spilled over in the match with the sending off of Álvaro Morata, who came on as a substitute and then picked up two yellow cards in about half an hour.
Albés questioned the officiating and admitted he didn’t understand what changed: “From the moment he came out, it seems they changed certain things in the match, the fouls, the anger… I find it hard to understand,” as reported by MARCA. The coach takes responsibility for the situation, but with 11 points after ten league games, the club’s patience is now being tested.
