Santiago Lencina ruled out at Burgos after adductor rupture
Burgos’ Argentine midfielder has a ruptured right adductor muscle after feeling pain during the game against Granada.
Santiago Lencina, from Burgos CF, will be sidelined with a rupture of the adductor muscle on his right leg, as stated in the club’s medical report. The Argentine midfielder felt discomfort during last Monday’s match against Granada CF and, after the game, underwent tests that confirmed the extent of the injury.
Burgos has not set a recovery timetable yet, and his return to training with the group will depend on how he responds. For now, he is receiving specific treatment from the club’s medical staff.
The setback also affects Sergio Francisco, who loses one option in the central midfield area with an offensive role. Lencina joined Burgos last summer on loan from River Plate for the 2026-27 season, in a deal that includes a purchase option, according to MARCA.
