Simon Eriksson trains separately as Racing heads to Osasuna
Racing complete the penultimate session before the trip to El Sadar with Eriksson recovering from a right-shoulder tendinopathy.
Racing de Santander are finishing preparations for their trip to Osasuna with Simon Eriksson working apart from the rest after completing Friday’s penultimate training session ahead of Sunday’s game at El Sadar. The squad trained normally, but the Swedish goalkeeper stayed out of group work while recovering from a tendinopathy in his right shoulder, an issue he has had for a month.
Training focused on passing drills and set-piece work to get ready for the match. Pablo Ramón also trained with the group after picking up problems during the international break in the right thigh hamstring; he had started in the team’s last match against Valencia.
Meanwhile, Andrés Martín, who returned for minutes in the most recent league outing after a right-knee sprain, showed no discomfort during the session. Racing will hold another workout on Saturday before travelling to Pamplona for the clash.
