Sonia Bompastor fumes after Chelsea penalty gets overturned

Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor said she was left with no explanation after a penalty for her team was overturned in the Champions League clash against OL Lyonnes on Wednesday night.

As L’Équipe reports, the referee initially pointed to the spot for Lauren James after contact with Damaris Egurrola, but the decision was eventually cancelled.

Bompastor insisted she believed Chelsea should have benefited from at least one more penalty, adding: “Je n’ai eu aucune explication.”
