Stade Rennais inaugurates Piverdière 2 after €40m works
The Breton club unveils its renovated training centre, built over more than two and a half years for €40m.
Stade Rennais inaugurated Piverdière 2 on Friday, completing its refurbished training centre after more than two and a half years of work and a €40m investment, as reported by L'Équipe. The upgrade came after the club was granted the dedicated building for its academy.
The ribbon-cutting was carried out by François Pinault, the club’s sole shareholder, in Rennes alongside mayor Nathalie Appéré, former mayor and minister Edmond Hervé, as well as Pinault’s son François-Henri and grandchildren François Nicolas Pinault and Louis-Roger Boutbien.
The club framed the opening as a milestone while it awaits either a new stadium or an expansion of the Roazhon Park.
