Stassin suffers miofascial injury to right long adductor

Bad news for Sevilla with just hours to go until their home clash with Barcelona. According to MARCA, the club has reported that Lucas Stassin picked up a miofascial injury in the right long adductor.

As explained by Sevilla’s medical staff, the Belgian forward suffered the problem in the match played the day before against Deportivo, and his status is subject to evolution, with no fixed recovery timetable given.

The setback complicates Luis García Plaza’s preparations only 48 hours before the game against Barcelona at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. Stassin had been contributing recently: he scored for Sevilla versus Espanyol, and in Riazor he was involved in the move that led to Miguel Sierra’s goal, beating Giménez before getting a shot away.
