Stuttgart lose 1-0 at Hamburg and face Atletico without scoring
Atletico’s Champions League opponent was blanked in the Bundesliga: 1-0 at Volksparstadion after 23 shots and 7 points from six games.
VfB Stuttgart failed to stop its early-season problems as it was beaten 1-0 by Hamburg in the Bundesliga this Saturday, without finding a goal despite creating chances at the Volksparstadion. The side had won its previous two matches, but in matchday seven it couldn’t keep the momentum.
The numbers remain a concern: two wins from six games and 7 points out of 18, leaving Stuttgart 11th and struggling with finishing. Deniz Undav tried to score seven times without success.
Stuttgart produced 23 shots and five on target, yet also allowed Hamburg opportunities. The decisive moment came late: in the 88th minute, Swiss defender Miro Muheim struck with a powerful long-range left-footed effort for 1-0, as Mundo Deportivo reports.
