Take Kubo repeats in the XI as Marrero keeps starting for Real

Take Kubo again starts for Real Sociedad, repeating in the starting XI for the second match in a row in Europe. Under Pellegrino Matarazzo, the coach keeps six players from Sunday’s lineup, but introduces five changes overall.

Rotation in the XI

Marrero is in goal, confirming that in European matches his turn comes in the current rotation. At the back, Zubeldia returns alongside Sergio Gómez. In the middle, Jon Martín and Sarr hold the central defensive spots, while Gorrotxategi and Soler form the pivot.

Offensively, Sucic returns after missing the Málaga game. Oyarzabal takes the striker role this time, and Guedes comes in for Barrene on the left. The XI is: Marrero; Zubeldia, Jon Martín, Sarr, Sergio; Gorrotxategi, Soler; Kubo, Sucic, Guedes; Oyarzabal. Among those left out are Barrene, Remiro, Fort, Aihen and Óskarsso n, plus Turrientes and Zakharyan, who had impressed recently, as well as Ochieng and Marín.
