Belgian Tessa Wullaert and Como 1907 technical director Nils Nielsen have both received their first-ever Ballon d'Or nominations, a proud moment for the club in its first season in Serie A Women.
Wullaert is recognised for her displays with the Belgian national team, while Nielsen earns his spot for his work with Japan's national side. According to Como (official Instagram), the ceremony will be held on Monday 26 October at The London Palladium.
Wullaert calls the nomination a great honour and says she will represent Belgium and Como at the event. Nielsen admits he had not thought about it at all until friends started sending him the posts, and promises to make the club proud.
