Thibaut Courtois hits out at City: “RIG” the competition, per Romano

Thibaut Courtois, the former Real Madrid stopper, has spoken again on the charges swirling around Manchester City. In comments relayed by Fabrizio Romano, the Belgian claimed Manchester City “rigged the competition” and tied it to the club’s ability to land new signings.

Courtois also added: “Maybe if they hadn’t done what they did, they WOULDN’T have been able to attract the players they signed.” In other words, that without what he suggests they did, the club wouldn’t have convinced the players it eventually brought in.

The remarks keep the heat on the ongoing Premier League debate around City.
