Ton Ripoll: Sabadell’s fast start is all about the team

Ton Ripoll, the Sabadell winger, credits the team’s strong start in LaLiga Hypermotion to collective work: he has three assists and insists that “individual good performances come from the team.” He said he’s happy with how the squad is performing both on an individual level and as a unit.

He also stressed that the dressing room is “very focused” on the next matches and on moving past the last away draw with Celta Fortuna (1-1). Ripoll admitted they weren’t as “brilliant” as in other games and explained that at Celta they struggled to find what the match demanded—though they still managed to take a point.

This Saturday, Sabadell play at the Nova Creu Alta, where they’ve won their three league games this season. Ripoll described the atmosphere as “brutal” and said the energy has been there for the last three matches. Against FC Andorra, he expects a “good match” because both sides have “very different” styles, and said their goal is simple: win—and try to score with a pass.
