UEFA has fined Bayern Munich 45,000 euros for “transmitting a message that is not appropriate for a sporting event.” The decision comes after the team’s first Champions League group-stage match, played on September 10 against Bodo/Glimt at the Allianz Arena.
The game ended 5-0 for the Bavarians, with goals from Musiala, Harry Kane, Alphonso Davis and a brace by Olise. The ruling cites article 16 of UEFA’s Disciplinary Code. As Mundo Deportivo reports, even if it may look symbolic for the club, UEFA penalizes any breach related to this kind of messaging.
