UEFA punishes Feyenoord with €74,375 for Camp Nou fan incidents
UEFA sanctions Feyenoord for chants, thrown objects and stadium damage: €25,000 plus a 25% reduced ticket allocation on a two-year probation.
UEFA has handed Feyenoord a sanction over the behaviour of its supporters at Camp Nou on 9 September, with a total fine of €74,375. The measures were triggered by “racist conduct”, the throwing of objects, chants deemed inappropriate for a sporting event, and damage to the stadium, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
The breakdown is:
- €25,000 for the fans’ conduct, including a 25% partial ticket restriction (from 5% to 3.75% of the away team’s allocation) for the club’s next match on the road
- That partial restriction is suspended for two years as a probation period
- €26,375 for throwing objects
- €10,000 for sending an inappropriate message
- €13,000 for vandalism
In addition, the club is required to reach out to Barcelona within 30 days to settle the damage caused by supporters in the away section.
