Valencia still winless at Mestalla after 2 draws and 3 losses
The goalless draw vs Athletic Club leaves Valencia without a home win after five LaLiga matches in front of their fans.
Valencia are still unable to win at Mestalla: after five home matches they have two draws and three defeats, their worst start in LaLiga as a local side. The latest result was a 0-0 draw against Athletic Club.
This latest setback once again denied their supporters a win on home soil. Under Carlos Corberán, Valencia drew with Celta (0-0) and lost to Real Betis (0-1) and Barcelona (0-5). With Óscar Sánchez in charge, their only win of the season came away, while at Mestalla they fell to Real Sociedad (2-3) despite scoring in the closing minutes. With Javier Aguirre, the pattern continues after the goalless stalemate vs Athletic.
Next up, Valencia will try to turn things around at Mestalla again, this time against Villarreal.
