Valentín Pezzolesi called up for Spain U-20: Spain vs Mexico

Valentín Pezzolesi, Las Palmas’ full-back, has been called up by Paco Gallardo with the Spain U-20s for the friendly vs Mexico on September 30 (20:30) at Estadio Cerro del Espino, according to MARCA.
The trigger for this situation isn’t only sporting: Argentina’s federation has been tracking the Canary Islands player for months. Pezzolesi has Argentine roots and spent a year and two months living in Barracas.
At Las Palmas, he started out with the reserve team during pre-season, but has worked his way into Rubén de la Barrera’s plans. He can play at right back and also on the left, and with the squad hit by injuries he has become one of the coach’s key options.
