Vicky López ruled out as Barça name 20 players for El Clásico

Barça head into the first Clásico of the season at Spotify Camp Nou without Vicky López, with kick-off pushed to 19:00. The club asked to delay the start time, which was initially set for 17:00, and has already released coach Pere Romeu’s squad: 20 players.

The forward couldn’t complete training last Friday and stayed in the gym on Saturday, still not fully recovered. That means she won’t play against Real Madrid and also won’t be called up by the Spain squad as planned.

In goal, Romeu keeps the usual three: Cata Coll, Gemma Font and McCamey. There’s no update in defence either, with Sydney, Paredes, Marta Torrejón, Carla Julià, Brugts, Aïcha, Martina and Van Asten. The Dutch centre-back could return to the starting XI after recovering to 100% and playing minutes in Rome.

Midfield and attack

Midfield options are Patri Guijarro, Aitana, Clara Serrajor, Rosalía and Pina. Up front, Kerolin, Graham Hansen, Pajor and Mayssa are included. Mayssa scored in the last league match vs Logroño United, but missed the Champions League game at Roma because she is still under 16, according to Mundo Deportivo.
