Víctor Sánchez trains with Córdoba as his return nears

The Sevilla-born striker, sidelined by an adductor issue, shared the pitch with the group after Córdoba’s 3-2 win over Tenerife.

Víctor Sánchez (Córdoba) took a step closer to his return on Tuesday: he trained with the group at the Ciudad Deportiva, although he did not complete a normal session. His work was gentle, part of a recovery morning.

The club is being cautious. The plan is to increase his workload gradually over the coming sessions and bring back his sensations, but there are no set timelines and Tuesday is not a sign of an imminent return. He had only limited involvement last week after an adductor problem that had already affected his availability before the trip to Albacete.

Coming off Córdoba’s 3-2 win over Tenerife, they visit Eldense on Saturday at the Nuevo Pepico Amat. Until now, the forward has appeared in just three matches: one full game at Burgos, a substitution at half-time vs Girona, a brief return vs Almería, and no minutes since.

The rest of the session focused on recovery, with several key Monday night players active, including Isma Ruiz, and training scheduled every day until Saturday.
