Vincent Kompany: no “price” for his anti-racism stand

Bayern coach Kompany will get a personal award from Bavaria’s premier Markus Söder after the Augsburg match.

Vincent Kompany, Bayern’s head coach, said he does not want any “price” for his anti-racism stance, according to kicker. The Belgian is set to receive a personal award from Bavaria’s premier, Markus Söder, in recognition of his position after Bayern’s match against FC Augsburg.

On the press conference after the game, Kompany also addressed what the honour means to him and why he does not want his message to be treated like a reward. The award comes right after the Augsburg fixture.
