Vincent Kompany on Manuel Neuer’s mistake: he looked the other way

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said after the match that when Manuel Neuer made a mistake, he had his focus in the other direction. The manager added that he didn’t want to turn the incident into something bigger.

In his explanation, Kompany linked his reaction to the specific moment on the pitch and the angle from which he was watching the play. That’s why he preferred to keep the episode in perspective rather than build it into a bigger talking point, according to kicker.
