Waldemar Kita ends talks with Phenix Capital over FC Nantes sale

Waldemar Kita, president and owner of FC Nantes, said this Thursday that it’s over «des discussions relatives au projet de cession du club à la société Phenix Capital», as announced in a statement.

The owner thus stops the resale plan being discussed with Phenix Capital. L’Équipe reports that Kita framed the project as not “manifestement pas sérieux”.

With these talks terminated, FC Nantes remains without a deal for any potential sale or transfer of ownership and will have to consider a new path forward.
