Women’s El Clásico in doubt: Barça asks to move kick-off due to storm

FC Barcelona has issued an official statement after the storm hitting Catalonia, leaving the kick-off time of the Women’s El Clásico against Real Madrid up in the air until tomorrow. The match was scheduled for 17:00 at Spotify Camp Nou, but Barça has requested a two-hour delay to 19:00.

The request is based on the forecast for extreme rainfall, with the toughest period expected from 20:00 on Saturday, October 3, until 14:00 on Sunday, October 4. The club says the final decision will be made tomorrow morning, in coordination with Liga F and the relevant authorities.

In its statement, Barça suspends all activities at its facilities from 20:00 today to 14:00 tomorrow due to the risk of flooding. The club also notes Meteocat’s warning about a “very adverse” episode, potentially including a “mini Mediterranean hurricane,” and a Protección Civil alert referencing “torrential rain” and mobility disruption.
