Yangel Herrera is sidelined with a calf issue as Real Sociedad return to training

Real Sociedad returned to training at Zubieta after a day and a half off, and Yangel Herrera is still not part of the group: he is working separately because of calf discomfort.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the issue already ruled him out for the Málaga match and could also keep him out of the Europa League game against Lillestrøm. Aramburu, Beitia and Odriozola also stayed away from the session due to longer-term injuries, while Gorka Carrera is out of first-team dynamics after failing to add minutes again when called up.

Trip to Norway

With Yangel absent, the club has Alex Lebarbier as the option to cover, with Marchal and goalkeeper Fraga also currently in training. The positive news is that Aihen Muñoz and Héctor Fort—who had been injured or heavily fatigued after La Rosaleda—trained with apparent normality, and Mikel Oyarzabal, who took a knee knock, ended up with nothing serious. Marín rejoined after serving his League suspension.

The squad will fly to Norway at midday to hold their final session at the Arasen Stadion (19:30).
