Lens suffered another Champions League setback this Wednesday, losing 0-3 away to Club Brugge KV. In the same match, Yannick Cahuzac made yet another big set of changes to the starting XI, leaning heavily on his rotation approach.
According to L’Équipe, the performance looked promising at first in terms of tempo and collective energy, but the game exposed the downside of those constant changes. The rotations are closely linked to uneven form levels, and when the intensity dropped, that gap quickly showed on the scoreboard.
