Youssouf Fofana in Manchester United’s winter sights
The Sevilla midfielder is reportedly a January target, despite a Milan loan running until 30 June.
Youssouf Fofana, the French midfielder at Sevilla, is drawing interest from Manchester United for the winter transfer window, according to TeamTalk. His early impact—scoring the goal that put Sevilla ahead against Barcelona in the league match played before the break—has put him on the radar.
Sevilla moved quickly after a deal had collapsed: Milan had already agreed with Olympique de Marseille, but Marseille couldn’t register the player after failing to release him. Fofana has featured in just four games for Sevilla so far and fits Luis García Plaza’s setup from the start of the campaign.
Loan locked until June
The loan is the sticking point. Sevilla’s agreement with Milan runs until 30 June, so the article says a move in winter won’t be easy. It adds that the player’s level makes it unlikely Sevilla would be willing to let him go, especially given that the economic terms were very favourable for Nervión.
