Yussif Owusu is ready to play for Sabadell vs Burgos with shirt 18

Midfielder Yussif Owusu is now eligible to play officially for Sabadell after LaLiga approved his registration more than a month after he arrived. His debut was delayed by bureaucratic issues for around a month and a half, but with the paperwork finally sorted he’s set to be available this Sunday against Burgos, taking shirt number 18.

Owusu had been on trial before making the squad and even did pre-season with the team. During the wait for the required documents from England, he traveled with the squad to Ceuta, although he couldn’t make the final matchday squad.

Sabadell coach Ferran Costa expects upside and flexibility: “Ya está disponible y entrará en la convocatoria. Es un chico joven y consideramos que tiene mucho potencial. Tenemos que ir paso a paso para darle lo que necesita”. He can play as a pivot and also as a centre-back, giving him multiple ways to break into the team.
