Zinedine Zidane backs Cherki: his plan is extended

Zinedine Zidane, according to L’Équipe, is extending his bet and keeping the focus on Rayan Cherki as a playmaking attacking midfielder.

The same headline underlines Cherki’s role in the midfield: more “relay” between lines than a traditional wide attacker.

With that continuity, the club is given more time to build around the coach’s plan, with Cherki positioned as a key piece of the midfield offensive idea.
