Bradley Barcola’s hat-trick powers Liverpool’s 6-3 demolition of LASK

Barcola scored his first professional hat-trick as Liverpool crushed LASK 6-3 in the Champions League on 14 October.

Bradley Barcola powered Liverpool to a 6-3 rout of LASK in Austria, delivering his first professional hat-trick.

Manager Andoni Iraola rotated and managed workloads for Virgil van Dijk and Alexis Mac Allister, but the revamped setup still worked. “I’m really happy for Bradley,” said Iraola, pointing out that beyond the treble he was a constant threat one-on-one and helped the team control the game.

Hat-trick and total control

Liverpool struck early after defensive mix-ups, and just 96 seconds after the 2-0, Barcola made it two. Before half-time, the Reds registered 26 attempts in the first half—matching their away record in the Champions League.

After the break, Jeremie Frimpong added another and Barcola completed his personal haul to seal the win. Lewis Koumas also marked his Champions League debut with a goal and became Liverpool’s youngest player to record a goal and an assist in the competition, as The Guardian reported.
