Rayo to refund season tickets for three games at Leganés
Rayo will proportionally reimburse fans for matches vs Alavés, Racing and Espanyol, before Dec 31, 2026.
Rayo Vallecano says it will refund the proportional amount to season-ticket holders for three matches the team had to play at Leganés’ home stadium (Butarque) after Vallecas suffered a “total and absolutely unjustified” closure. The club says it deeply regrets the harm caused and adds that the compensation covers supporters who “did not use their pass” for reasons beyond their control.
In a statement released this Friday, Rayo specifies that the affected fixtures were against Alavés, Racing de Santander and Espanyol, and sets a deadline for payments of before December 31, 2026. It also says it will explain in the coming days how the refund will be carried out.
The move comes after meetings this week involving club and squad representatives with fans and board members, following demands for a public apology and further steps—especially after what happened since July 28. On Saturday, October 24, Rayo play Elche at Vallecas.
