Sancet, Yuri and Djaló miss the Lezama media session segment

Athletic Club trained at Lezama this Wednesday and, in the first segment open to the media, Sancet, Yuri and Djaló were not involved, even though they had been available the day before, according to MARCA. The club did not issue any medical update on their situation.

Sancet is a regular in Terzic’s setup and leads Athletic’s outfield players for Liga minutes with 515; only Simón has played every minute because he is the goalkeeper.

Two sessions before Rayo

The team still has two more training days—Thursday and Friday—before the trip to Vallecas. The next session will also be used to check the fitness of players coming off internationals: Simón and Laporte played for Spain versus Croatia; Peio Canales had 20 minutes with the Spain U21 against Romania; and Padilla started and played the full match in his Mexico debut.

For the Rayo game, Terzic only has Nico Williams confirmed out. The forward returned injured from Spain, with no return date set: he will miss Rayo for sure, while Valencia and Levante remain uncertain.
