Miguel Sierra injured shoulder: dislocation and 2.5 to 3 month layoff
Sevilla confirm Miguel Sierra’s shoulder dislocation after an incident with Manu Sánchez vs Levante.
Miguel Sierra (Sevilla) has suffered a major setback to his strong start to the season: a shoulder dislocation confirmed after a challenge by Manu Sánchez in Sevilla’s match against Levante. The Granada winger needed treatment on the pitch and was replaced by Alfon.
Sevilla say the player must undergo surgery. While they didn’t give an exact return date, everything points to him missing between two and a half and three months.
This season, Sierra had been Sevilla’s breakout and top scorer early on with two goals. He also starred at the Ciutat de València before his injury—helping set up the 0-2 for Félix Correia—though that game ended 3-3, with Isaac Romero sent off after scoring the 2-3.
